Laura's Wish List

This feels a bit odd, but folks always ask me what I want for my birthday or Christmas...and I always stumble around trying to come up with something. Often, I suggest something meaningless because I feel so awkward. So, I put together this list so that those wonderful folks who for some odd reason wish to buy me gifts.

Thank you so much for thinking of me!

I could use a portable metronome.

Thanks to a friend of mine, I've gotten hooked on body butter from Lush.com. mmmm....body butter. The perfect thing for dry skin in the winter!

However their creams and cleansers are equally good. :)

Gift Certificate from Back In Motion Chiropractic & Registered Massage Therapy

This is a great little clinic up on the Danforth. My massage therapist works there, and she's great! So, any gift certificates to get a massage are ALWAYS welcome and appreciated.
Knitting

I have officially become a knitting addict. So, yarn is always welcome. Just a note to keep in mind. It's almost impossible to make much from one or two skeins of yarn. Typically a scarf will take two skeins if it isn't huge. Socks take a skein a piece, at least. It is always surprising how much yarn is required.

My yarn shop....(ok, ok, so it isn't exactly mine....the yarn shop that is a block from my house and that is a lovely shop full of fantastic yarn, nice people, and warm, fragrant tea) is The Purple Purl on Queen St E. In addition to yarn and other supplies, they also offer low cost classes.

Books

In the last year, I've shifted from reading books to listening to them. After spending hours at my keyboard every day, my eyes needed a rest! I buy all my books from Audible.com, so a gift certificate or gift book from them would be lovely! OR

Any of these would be a welcome addition to my library!
